At the recent Student Wellbeing Leadership Conference, our students had an enriching experience packed with valuable activities and insights. We kicked off the day with dynamic team-building exercises led by the Active Ed team, enhancing our collaborative skills and strengthening bonds within our group.

Following this, we had the opportunity to tour Highgate Primary. After a well-deserved recess, we delved into Wellbeing Engagement Collection Data (WEC) learning how to effectively interpret and analyse our own data from Unley Primary.

One of the highlights of the conference was a captivating session with guest speaker Henry Nicolson, a former contestant on Survivor. Henry shared invaluable insights on leadership, emphasising the importance of teamwork in achieving success.

As our students reflect on their learnings, their next steps involve collaborating to implement our UPS Wellbeing Priorities, ensuring robust support for student well-being. They’re excited to share their experiences and insights with parents during a dedicated wellbeing session later in the year, as well as with our Governing Council.

This conference has equipped our students with new tools and perspectives to better serve the wellbeing of their peers at Unley Primary.
