This week, our wonderful Year 4 teacher Paula challenges any keen writers and thinkers to consider a clever quote from Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events:

“Justice is out. Injustice is in. That’s why they call it injustice.”

Discuss. Have you ever felt you were treated unfairly or unjustly – at home or at school? If so, how did you resolve that? Did everyone feel the same?

How might prefixes change the meaning of words? How do authors use a play on words to entertain the reader? Can you find any other examples of wordplay in the series?
