Ever thought about joining one of Adelaide’s Surf Life Saving Clubs?

Two of our UPS Year 3 students recently competed at the SA Junior Surf State Titles on Sunday 17 March. Edie C (representing Glenelg) and Harry T (representing Brighton) worked together to form a composite Cameron relay team, running, swimming and paddling their way to the finish line. Well done Edie and Harry for your efforts and sportsmanship!

Being a Nipper is a sure way to build confidence in the water, make new friends and learn to compete in all types of weather. It also paves the way into a vibrant community dedicated to doing something important that makes the world better for everyone -volunteer beach patrol.

SA’s Surf Life Saving Clubs are always keen to welcome new families, so watch out for season kick off events in September and October each year. Parents be warned though: Nippers is not a spectator sport.  Plan to get involved, there is always something to do!  The kids are not the only ones who will spend less times on their screens. – Kerrie Burmeister (parent of Edie)
