We are excited to share some science news with you! Science Week is just around the corner, and preparations are in full swing, with students busy completing their poster projects. The Science Fair will be held in Week 8, from September 11 to 15, here at Unley Primary School.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to delve into their favourite area of science, whether it’s earth & space sciences, biological sciences, chemical sciences, or physical sciences. They will have the chance to inquire, research, and present their findings in the form of captivating posters. The Science Fair is an optional offering for all year levels, and families are also welcome to participate together!

We encourage students to get creative with their poster presentations. They can include information, photos, illustrations, and fun facts to make their posters visually appealing and informative. The journey of exploration and research is just as crucial as the final result, and we can’t wait to witness our young scientists’ passion for science.

In other science-related news, Science Alive is returning to the Wayville Showgrounds on the 5th and 6th of August! This event is not to be missed, as it’s the largest single interactive science exhibition in Australia. With over 60 exhibitors providing hands-on and interactive experiences, it promises to be a dynamic and educational event for all ages. We have seen Unley Primary students show great interest and enthusiasm in the past, and we hope to see even more participation this year.
