At UPS we support students to build social and emotional skills, take increasing responsibility for their own wellbeing and make decisions that enhance resilience. This week at assembly the whole school learnt about the importance of mindfulness. Mindfulness is learning to be in the moment, not thinking about the past or future. When we are in the moment we can concentrate better, focus on the task at hand and not get overwhelmed with what the future will bring. During assembly, students from Room 24 taught the school 3 breathing techniques, Rainbow Breathing, Finger Breathing and Shoulder Breathing. Your child may like to share these with you and your family.
