Unley Primary students have been busy representing the Adelaide South East district at state carnivals this week. To be considered for a district team, students attend trials and are put through a rigorous training and trial program. Only one team, from across more than a dozen schools, are selected to represent our district at metro state carnivals.
Thomas Balnaves, Isaac Giro, Eli Hammerlsey and Aiden Murray were selected to compete at the state swimming carnival after their success at the district swimming carnival. All four students competed in the freestyle relay, while Aiden swam in the individual 50m freestyle and Thomas participated in the individual 50m butterfly event.
Ruby Altamura and India Roberts-Thomson enjoyed a successful week at the state softball carnival. Held at West Beach, the duo pitched, fielded and batted their way to first place in the division 1 competition! A huge success for the girls and the Adelaide South East district, and the UPS community is immensely proud of their achievements.
Congratulations to all students who have represented our district so far this year!
