Our Year 5-7 students were treated to Olympic greatness last week with a wonderful presentation from dual gold medallist, Juliet Haslam.

Juliet spoke of her stellar hockey career, of her love of sport, of being a good teammate and of the importance of setting goals, striving for success and of being persistent. Our students were enthralled with  Juliet’s journey and with the lessons she imparted. Juliet, who is also the aunty of Year 2 student, Asha, expressed her appreciation of our UPS audience: “I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the visit to Unley PS …such a wonderful school. The kids were fantastic, polite, keen and had lots of great questions”.

The feedback we receive from the wider community about our students, their respect and willingness to engage, is consistently positive and encouraging. Last week, we received glowing praise for the behaviour and attitude of our Year 6 and 7 students at their Aquatics program at Port Noarlunga. This is of course, is a reflection upon their parents and staff as well. Congratulations everyone – true Olympic spirit!
