On Friday of Week 7 we held what is  becoming a treasured feature of the Unley PS  calendar.  Our wonderful Community and Fundraising Committee and our Governing Council provided  the perfect, though slightly belated, welcome to Term 1 with the  Pancake Breakfast.

All hands were on deck from 6.45am to set up for the breakfast and they were rewarded by a beautiful morning with a true sense of community and fun. It was particularly rewarding to see families new to our school enjoying themselves and making connections. Thanks to everyone who reached out to others over a pancake and coffee.

Many thanks to Stacey T, Sam K, Penny C and the C&F team and to Luke Thomas and his GC crew. Thanks also to our COVID marshals, Jess Packer and Ellie Stewart for doing their best to maintain order and to all students who helped out on  the day. All up the event  raised $1,675.70 – a great start to the year!

As we have mentioned previously, our efforts this year are aimed at replacing  the green playground on Campus 1. A recent audit identified this wonderful play space as requiring some significant work, such as patching up the rubber soft fall which has been attended to today. We look forward to our next event, the UPS Sausage Sizzle this Friday.
