Towards the end of last term, a couple of enterprising and kind-hearted Year 6 students, Evie and Zara, came up with a suggestion to improve the entrance to our school.

The fountain, alongside our Wattle St entrance, had captured their interest. This fountain had been erected in 1929 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of our school (see photo below right).

Noticing that it was very tarnished Zara and Evie, with help from Kaila, set to work with steel wool and Brasso to make quite a difference to the fountain. Although we still cannot drink from this, it is fitting that we take pride and care in these historic features that form a valued part of our UPS history.

Thanks Evie, Zara and Kaila for your contribution to Unley Primary School.
