Ready, set, roll!

Potatoes this week have sprouted up from all around the world to compete in the annual Potato Olympics, hoping to claim a glorious medal! Their trainers are ready to rumble as they have their whole country behind them. The opening ceremony was a spectacle, filled with dazzling traditional outfits, made by superstar designers from each country.

All of the 6/7 classes from the Jacaranda building have been put into small teams, each representing a country for the games. The events are extremely challenging and are made to push every single potato to the edge. Our events this year areā€¦

  • Potato bowling
  • Potato diving
  • Potato hockey
  • Potato long jump
  • Potato and spoon race.

The top three teams from each class will go into the grand final where they will be diced to the bitter end, in the hope of winning a medal.

After all the events, we will be graphing the results in our maths books. What a cool way to end the term on a high note and do some maths. We should all be utterly fried by Friday!
