Last term our parent members of OSCARS determined at a Special Meeting that we would dissolve OSCARS inc. and go to tender for a new provider for our out of school hours care provision. This motion was passed unanimously.
Increasingly, the administrative and legislative demands on the management committee, comprising school parents, was becoming unmanageable.
The tender process has now concluded and we can announce that YMCA will take over the management of our OSHC service for the next three years. YMCA will be providing opportunities for all clients and potential clients to meet with them early in Term 2. We will keep you posted on these details.
I would like to commend and thank all those who have been responsible for the running of OSCARS over many years. We hope that the new partnership will continue to provide the high quality care and outstanding relationships that OSCARS has with our school. We anticipate that YMCA will formally take over the reins towards the end of Term 2.
We are confident that our OSCARS staff will be invited to continue working with our new service provider.
