What an amazing year at Unley Primary. As we emerge from another wonderful Celebration Night and a range of events to farewell our Year 7 students, we realise this is a busy, productive and important time for us all.
Celebration Night was just that — a celebration of the fun and learning that students have enjoyed this year. To every student and teacher, thanks for your energetic efforts in making this such a wonderful conclusion to the year.
There were lots of other important events this year, including: sporting triumphs, academic prizes, Harmony Day, the Art Show, Grandparents’ Day, Festival of Music, Book Week, Sports Day, and other choir/ music performances and countless class based adventures.
All of these things have been a valued part of children’s learning and their experience of school at Unley. Together we have built community, made great memories and experienced a sense of achievement.
From our newest Receptions to our graduating Year 7s, we are proud of the efforts you have made and the successes you have had.
I would also like to thank all parents and friends who have contributed to our school in more formal ways. To every sports team coach, manager and supporter, thank you! To parents who have supported excursions and other school events, thank you! To every parent who has helped in classrooms, with reading, art and craft, cooking or just sharing your knowledge, thank you! To every parent (and grand-parent) who has supported our assemblies and other school events, thank you. To every parent who has given up their time to serve on our Governing Council, Education, Sports, Finance, OSCARS, Facilities and the Community and Fundraising Committees, thank you!
On behalf of our whole staff we wish those families leaving us exciting and positive new adventures ahead, and to everyone a safe and happy Christmas and holiday period. We look forward to seeing you back here on Monday, January 29th January, for the commencement of the 2018 school year.
